Reporting from Beijing, listening to Gnarls Barkley and making final arrangements for our flight back to Shanghai. Beijing has been nice and I've been able to abosrb many new ideas as I came to realize just recently that perhaps the missing piece of our story was the research we weren't doing, the hands on research, the stuff that requires a writer to actual journey out and see, live what he's writing about. I've photographed much of what I've seen because I know that it's one thing to read about it or watch it in some crackpot's interpretation of the lands to the east, but to actual breathe the same air makes all the difference. The playing field has changed, I'm not too sure of how to approach this new medium though. I'll get back to the group on this one later.

I'll be back in Miami some time late Saturday evening, so don't expect any big event from my arrival. With a good three or four hundred snapshots, it'll be a while before I'm able to organize my albums accodingly. Good memories nonetheless and look forward to a return.

I've begun to read a story written by an Englishman early in the last century and have enjoyed what I've read thus far. For now I shall return to my city of mist and glance once more at my castle above the clouds before my departure to the states (of which I am not looking forward to).

Until then, perhaps the group can get together on Sunday or something. See you then.
