 Josh <Review Old Rants> Post Date: 4/18/2005 6:32:39 PM Message: As Jorge put it, many aspects of the site have been undergoing changes, though few of them are actually visible to our visitors. The small thanks refers to a small addition I made to our Rants Control Panel, on the 'Add New Msg' page, the "Text Formatting Help;" added this one for Jasser's sake. Was chatting with him and he asked me why it was that he couldn't get spaces [line breaks] to appear in his rants. Rathering than trying to get him to memorize some basic HTML text formatting tags, I simply added a little popup for whenever the help is needed. Busy day, today, at Meco. The night's gonna get even worse as I've been holding off some other work that is due TOMORROW. A few cups of coffee, some quiet time, and the computer and this thing will be done with. I really want to get to work on the site. If I get excited about working on JR, then I can push the same mood over to my other projects and start getting that damn server populated a faster rate. Josh is organizing and in the worst of ways...the one that works. My schedule is booked for the next three months, yay. That's all for me, not much else to say. Things have been going well, slow for me, incredibly fast for Josh. I've never seen this many updates in a two week span since... Well ok, I've never really seen this many updates. He'll usually open the site with all that it's expected to have. Don't think all that you see on the site is all he's done. There is alot of new back-door stuff as well. As for new stuff, I'm giving the 'ol animated intro of SAM/NIN a diffrent look, after experimenting with some new drawings. I could possibly throw it together faster than originally planned if I exaggerate the sketchyness and implement it on a more aggressive plane. Basically I'm going to use my lazy ass methods to get it done faster. Father always said to me "There is an easy way, and a right way of doing things...", this is both. Hmm, whats this... Well hey, there's a javascript "Text Formatting Help" window. Awww, thank you Josh, and now is when I notice this. Well I can thank the average ranting hours for this one. The fact that I'm ranting on an afternoon is remarkable in itself. OK, enough bloggin... Current designs on the computer will revolve around the sites design and possible fun stuff, like customizable headers and such. Well in respect to the fact that we still have the old rants review page, I'm reposting the last half of my previouse rant... While fixing some spelling errors [DAMN you JOSH] in the process. Hey stuff happens when you write the longer rants. ^_^;It is the future, in a world torn, and rebuilt after years of cold bloody war. The diffrent schools of the martial arts, technologies and magics were the target of other countries, seeking to make themselves stronger. During the war, seven of the strongest warriors, tactitians, and mystics came together to bring order back to the land. Among these elders was the Zenith, the master of the elders and leader to the masses. It was he who brought the remaining soldiers to a surrender, and peace with their enemies. Soon after, he disappeared leaving the elders with the responsibility of holding the countries and its people together in everlasting peace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ However true peace was never reached, and the race for power continued even without the blood-shed of war. The next Zenith was destined to come forth...[ooohhh I wish I had a narrator tell this with the ol' narrator sort of voice...] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hoau, a young candidate to be the next Z, takes it upon himself to bring control to the countries, and he'll kill anyone who gets in his way. A noble cause, but his methods are all wrong. Rikarutsu, another candidate, takes up arms against Hoau in the name of his younger brother's pacifistic virtues of honor on the battlefield. He continues to have episodes about his brother, and it comes to bringing danger to everyone around him. Basukuezu, the last true shinobi, was raised and focused on killing the new Z and the chaos that his shadow has brought to the land. However, befor he could kill Rikarutsu and Hoau, he must confront his human side and past love, befor he can comfirm himself as a true shinobi or a lost soul. Soteruro, the rounin seeking new knowledge, decides to follow Rikarutsu and Basukeuzu in hopes of becoming stronger than both of them- and prove that he wasn't forced into the plot... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The story will revolve on how these personalities search for their own purpose to live, and fight, in a world that only wants a reason to destroy itself once more. I'll try to leave this portion of the rant until I can get something better or more permanent to say about the SAM/NIN work. Well back to work I guess, SANITARIO! This is a filler message until Dre realizes that he's got an account on the website for ranting. I guess until then, this will remain. I suppose I'll offer up a bit of a more formal introduction. The newest member, in the four odd years since I added the ranting system and only individual to penetrate the original triad, Andres "Dre" Redondo. An artist of sorts, he has been associated with the group for years and has assisted in many inventions, as well as whine about not seeing any changes. Warm welcomes. We'll find out how often he really checks the site as I don't intend to tell him of this new account and await his request for access to his new account. -Josh |
